Vegan Protein Burger Patties

The supply of vegan burger patties in supermarkets has exploded in recent years. From Beyond Meat to discounters' own brands, everyone seems to be jumping on the bandwagon. Unfortunately, many of these products are very greasy and not at all fitness friendly. As with many things, doing it yourself is the healthier - and cheaper - option here. With the addition of our organic rice protein combined with kidney beans and oatmeal, this vegan hamburger is full of healthy protein sources! It's also super quick and easy, and great to prepare and freeze. For burger buns, our protein buns are perfect, and they give you even more protein! Instead of the organic vegan protein, you can of course also use the organic rice protein in this recipe.

Ingredients

for 5 servings

Preparation

  1. Slice the onion and garlic into small cubes.
  2. Mash the drained kidney beans with a fork. It doesn't have to be completely smooth, chunky are alright.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and knead together.
  4. Form about 5 patties.
  5. Heat some oil in a pan and fry the patties from both sides.
  6. Add onto your burger.
  7. Enjoy!
