Organic mulberries: a great snack without added sugar!
They are honey-sweet in taste and the perfect snack for in between: Our BIO mulberries. The berries naturally contain sugar and therefore come without added, industrial sugar. This makes them a great choice - even the next time you have a craving for sweets. They are perfect for muesli, porridge, pastries or as a topping for your salad. Our organic mulberries are something for anyone looking for a new treat and offer a healthy option for anyone who likes to snack sweetly. But be careful: The organic mulberries from nur.fit have real addictive potential!
What exactly are mulberries?
Mulberries are not only super delicious, they are also one of the oldest cultivated plants in the world. They are mainly grown in Asia and North America and have also been used for silkworm breeding for centuries. The use of the mulberry is therefore very versatile. In total, there are even 12 different varieties of mulberry, but only the red, black and white mulberry can be consumed. In appearance, the mulberry is similar to our well-known blackberry, as it also has an elongated shape and structure. However, unlike the blackberry, the mulberry does not grow on the bush, but in airy heights of up to 15 m on trees. Organic mulberries are known for their abundance of vitamins and minerals. They contain vitamin C, E as well as folic acid, B vitamins, biotin and beta-carotene. They also contain a lot of potassium, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus and iron.
This is what you can do with our organic mulberries
Our dried organic mulberries have a high iron content. This provides the body for the transport of oxygen in the blood and is therefore responsible for a functioning metabolism. Did you know? In traditional Chinese medicine, dried mulberries are used as an expectorant. Think about it the next time you have a cold :). You can add it as a fruity companion to your morning porridge or top your smoothie bowl with it. Mulberries are also great for baking, for example as an ingredient in a delicious banana bread. After baking, the mulberries are nice and soft and provide a juicy consistency in your pastries.
